Project Overview
This animated explainer video was produced for Nottingham City council to help passengers use their Robin Hood ticketing app.
When NCC and its partners rolled out the new app, they needed a clear animated explainer video to help passengers to engage.
With our experience in producing animations for Nottingham City Transport, and our understanding of ticketing processes for INIT. Nottingham City Council naturally turned to us for an animated explainer video.
After a period of trialling the app to understand the UI, and any particular issues users may have, we produced scripting and art direction for the new animation video.
Using existing brand assets from the app, we took NCC through our animation production process. This engaged with the internal stakeholders at the council, ensuring the video was on brand and relevant via layout, rough and final passes.
The end result is an approachable fast and easily consumed animation that was used to support the roll out of the app across multiple media channels.
With a “social first” approach, this 16:9 version was actually the second version of the video produced.
It was particularly important for the council to encourage engagement on mobile devices.
