New Master Video Download!

We have updated the master video files,  (“Original” in our download options) which we provide,  to a more efficient and better quality codec to improve your experience and provide a more future proof video. This codec is almost universally useable,  but on some older legacy systems issues may be encountered. Our system also provides customers with the option of downloading smaller versions of their videos,  in particular there is an option to download an “HD 1080p” mp4 version, which has a much smaller file size,  whilst still providing  excellent quality. Whilst the “Original” version is directly suitable for use on…

Flip the classroom with training videos

Flipping the classroom with video  brings the lecture home, and the homework into class.   Training Videos are revolutionising teaching by delivering lessons to students at their convenience,  allowing educators to the classroom to reinforce learning with practical lessons and tuition, a learning method called “Flipping the Classroom”. This “Flipped Classroom” model of teaching allows trainers to deliver more meaningful and in depth content than would be possible using traditional teaching methods. Video content is at the heart of the flipped classroom. This can take many forms, from a simple video of a lecture, to a full green screen production video, depending on…

Will 2018 be the year of Agile?

As 2018 opens more people are seeing the value of Agile in digital content and video production.     In their New Year’s blogging, Creative Bloq identified “Minimal Viable Product” (MVP)  as the number one trend in digital in 2018. MVP is a set of principles which abandons the “Big Bang”, embraces iterations and lean production, and mirrors our Agile production methods. But when we think of MVP we think of maximum value instead of minimal viable, because MVP is actually the optimal way of producing video. Agile has allowed us to increase the quality of our property videos, as well as reducing turnaround…

New London Video Property Tours from Page One!

Barratt London chooses Page One to produce property tour videos!     It’s always nice to be able to talk about new work, and when we are chosen to produce video property tours for one of the leading UK home builders in London, it’s even better still! With dozens of video property tours under our belts for a number of home builders, we were still surprised to be approached by Barratt’s London division. Shooting London properties has given us an excellent opportunity for our work to reach an entirely new audience. It’s also posed a new set of challenges, both logistically…

Script writing made easy with agile!

Keep it simple for your video script!     Script writing for a corporate or business video can be daunting!     But it doesn’t need to be if you use agile video production methods, as we only produce the scripts we need, at the time we need. Most of the time we need what we call a “Narrative Script”. Your narrative script is effectively a voice over that will accompany your video. It’s the story you wish to tell turned directly into words.   How to start on a narrative script?   There are two considerations,  the key messages for the video, and…

Green screen training videos with the UK’s top pharmacy trainer.

The UK’s top pharmacy training provider is making training videos central to their teaching.  In 2016 we produced nearly two dozen training videos for the leading provider of pharmacy training, which has allowed them to “Flip the Classroom” as well as reach many more students than previously possible using traditional methods. Part of this was the production of a series of videos involving role playing between a pharmacy inspector and different pharmacy staff to demonstrate best practice and illustrate important issues for students. These training videos used chroma key/green screen techniques to combine live presentation and acting with graphics and illustrations.     The customer’s initial thinking was to…

How a training video helped keep the lights on!

Electricity company’s training video taught their engineers best practice.   When one of the largest producers of electricity in Europe decided to introduce a new system for solving engineering problems at their power plants, they decided that the best way to teach people about it was with a training video. Often when engineering problems occur arriving at a solution to the problem, and then ensuring that solution is implemented in the long term, can be difficult. To overcome this the business wanted to train their staff on the implementation of a new root cause analysis tool, using a case study to highlight the…

Do your own narration and take ownership of your video!

Taking ownership of your business video is easy if you do your own narration.    Putting your own people in your  business videos leverages the power of video to build trust by taking ownership of your message. One of the big advantage’s of an SME is that it is smaller, with more personal service, and as such potentially more trustworthy for a customer. By putting key stakeholders in your company video, you build this trust. Using real people in a corporate video means it will be more personal and different from your competition, and that’s one of the keys to making a better video. It’s not difficult! Doing so isn’t difficult.  While…
