Junior Doctor training video to induct new NHS team members
Services
Project Overview
Inducting new team members into a specialist unit can be a time consuming process which harms staff availability in the hard pressed NHS.
Page One were commissioned to produce an induction video to help solve this problem for Junior Doctors at the acute medicine unit in Nottingham.
Shot by a single filmmaker over two days, and then edited in our Nottingham studio, this training video needed to be shot on the live unit. Actors were used to represent the Junior Doctor, as well as the patient. The Consultant was played by an actual consultant doctor on the day.
Page One consulted on the script, writing the final version heard from a rough script written by the NHS team. A location scout then took place where props were decided and the schedule on the day determined.
Second day shooting was then delayed due to illness by one of the actors, our agile process ensured we could seamlessly pick up on day two with no continuity issues.
One of two videos shot on the unit at the same time, the other patient introduction video is linked below.
The Acute Medicine Unit is a busy 24 hour a day operation which cannot accommodate substantial disruption, so we needed to work quickly causing zero disruption.
The edit was deliberately kept simple and clean, for both ease of understanding, and cost effectiveness.
