Project Overview
When the UK’s last coal power station closed in 2024, Uniper wanted to preserve the history as much as possible. Including wanting to give future generations the opportunity to experience this powerful facility.
This 360 social media video was part of that. Output as a shorter of the main 8 minute long video, this short social hits the key locations. Including the massive turbine hall, and the unit 1 boiler.
And in some totally unique shots takes the viewer up the 650 foot stack and the into and out the top of one of the massive cooling towers.

This was a project almost a year in the making, with extensive testing to produce the best quality in a hugely challenging environment. (Which becomes more obvious in the full length video!) Produced almost exclusively by Emma, it includes hand held and drone 360 footage, a custom audio soundscape, and motion tracked graphics.
Uniper then constructed a custom viewing facility for visitors use during the closing ceremonies, withFPV goggles and big screens to accommodate everyone.
Like most 360 this is best viewed on goggles, and may be a bit laggy on a poor connection.
