Project Overview
The Apprentice explores the work of Josey Robinson, an apprentice heavy vehicle technician at Nottingham City Transport.
This video was produced to celebrate Josey winning the Scania Heavy Vehicle Apprentice of the Year 2017, and is used to help recruit new apprentices to NCT.
Shot using the GH5s, the production made extensive use of a hand held gimbal, as well as high frame rates. Graded and letterboxed to help achieve a cinematic look, the opening sequence took its inspiration from modern Scandinavian drama.
The location shoot was accomplished in less than half a day, with audio recorded in a separate interview.
