Barratt London
Data storytelling property video
Project Overview
Sterling Place is one of Barratt Londons newest developments, and this property video is one of several we have produced to help raise awareness and drive buyers to the property.
In this case we have produced a classic data storytelling video which combines motion graphic data visualisations, with original videography shot by our DOP in London, to build a powerful positive narrative for potential buyers.
With research from Barratt London, as well as fact checking and original research by ourselves, the video gradually moves from location information, to hard financial data, concluding with the strength of the Barratt brand and customer satisfaction to build trust amongst viewers.
Footage for this shoot was also used across several other videos for this development, including a series of socials outlining “5 Reasons Why”, and a less data intensive version of this video.
With new build property often seen as a minefield for buyers, the use of data storytelling in videos can help to overcome barriers to purchase for strong brands.

A few frequency asked questions about property video production
When creating professional property and real estate videos, optimal settings are crucial for showcasing properties in their best light and ensuring they can be used across any channel. At Page One, we shoot 6K Open Gate 10bit 422 to capture the best colour and enable any format output. We then fine tune colour on our Netflix spec grading suite to maintain accurate colour representation, which is especially important for interior shots where mixed lighting is common.
For our Barratt London projects, like the Sterling Place development videos, we used these exact specifications to highlight the property features and surrounding amenities. When we produced the South London lifestyle video for their Springfield development (which won Gold in the 2023 AVA Digital awards), this process let us capture the vibrant neighbourhood details that helped potential buyers envision their lives there.
Many clients previously struggled with videos that appeared dim or colour-shifted, particularly in spaces with large windows and strong backlighting. Our production spec solves this by capturing the widest possible amount of colour data, then properly managing that in post production, creating that professional polish that distinguishes your property marketing from amateur footage.
The best camera for your real estate videos depends on your needs, but we can share what has worked best for our clients. At Page One, we often use the Fuji camera system to capture the the best 6k open gate footage for property videography, as we did for the Bellway London event video at the O2 arena, or our Netflix approved Sony cameras, ensuring your content is future-proofed and adaptable for any platform.
For Barratt London’s accessible home tour at Bermondsey Heights with AccessAble Ambassador Tanvi Vyas, our Fuji equipment, married to pro-grade gimbals, produced smooth movement through doorways and tight spaces while maintaining broadcast-quality output. This approach solved a common problem our clients faced: how to capture flowing, professional footage in confined spaces.
The results speak for themselves – our clients, like David Wilson Homes and Lovell, report that our property videos have significantly increased buyer engagement compared to their previous marketing efforts. Remember that the camera is just one element; lighting equipment, stabilisation gear, professional audio capture and post production expertise are equally crucial for creating compelling real estate content.
A video production house is a specialised company that handles all aspects of video creation, from concept to delivery. When you work with a production house like Page One, you gain access to a team of experts, including directors, cinematographers, editors, sound engineers and motion graphics artists, who collaborate to create professional video content.
For our real estate clients, this means having a trusted partner who understands property marketing deeply. When Lovell Homes needed to showcase their new West Midlands developments, our production team handled everything: scriptwriting, location scouting, drone aerial cinematography, interviews with the mayor and post-production editing – delivering a comprehensive package communicating the excitement of their new Birmingham development.
Similarly, when Barratt London needed Mandarin-language videos for its international division, our production house capabilities allowed us to manage the complex translation, narration, subtitling and graphics adaptation – solving its challenge of reaching Chinese investors with authentic, culturally appropriate content.
A quality production house doesn’t just record video; we transform your property’s story into compelling visual content that resonates with your target audience, whether local buyers, international investors or specific demographic groups you’re trying to reach.
