We have been using radio slaves quite a bit here, we now have three different types from Quantum, Pulsar and a el cheapo from Calumet……
Now none of these slaves are particularly reliable, with , I suspect, the Pulsar set I use being the worst.
Its normal to have to do at least 4-6 frames in a row to get 1 frame with all the lights going at the same time.
I was mentioning this problem the other day to a ex Boeing engineer who I was photographing for one of our specialist magazines, and the first thing he asked was, Is it Bluetooth?
So why has no one developed a reliable bluetooth radio slave system? Canon are big on wi-fi and infra red, but surely a decent bluetooth system would be far more reliable.
So if anyone knows of a manufacturer who is doing a system, drop us a line….
