I recently spent a long Saturday photographing the Alliance Healthcare’s charity Football/Netball Event in Nottingham for Seven Publishing.
It was an unexpectedly hot day, and the shoot involved a wide range of subjects, including action, spectators, general colour, awards, and then at the end of it all, setting up a portable photography studio and shooting a magazine cover!
So, full on from 9am till 5pm, and every lens from the 400mm DO to the 17mm was used. But the stuff that I was particularly pleased with was the narrow DOF pictures from the 85mm and 28mm…
At the end of the day they raised an enormous amount for charity, and I was very happy with the images, which captured a broad range of photography from the event, including action and sport, as well as portraits.
But Phew!
